Global Village Consulting Inc. (GVC) began as a partnership of University friends in January, 1995. For the company's first three years growth was a result of hard work and long hours in the basement of the partners' house. After a period of strong growth and a shake-up of the original partners, the company was incorporated in 1997. Early work included web application development using custom tools (Charlotte Web Engine) and Oracle. As the company expanded, GVC added additional expertise in desktop application development for Windows platforms utilizing Delphi and OpenStep. These moves led to the increased utilization of the world class WebObjects, a web based development tool by Apple Computers Inc. Since 1998, GVC has improved its growth rates and moved to into a funky downtown loft style office. With added corporate expertise and a more aggressive partnership program GVC has experienced over 80% growth per year for the past three years. In addition, GVC is projecting continued yearly growth of between 60 and 80 percent through 2002. While GVC is looking forward to the future, our company continues to embrace and be rooted in our past - after all, learning from our experiences is one of the most valuable benefits GVC can bring to its clients.
